One Of The Best Vacations

Good morning Art and Deb.

I just wanted to take a minute to wish you and the whole crew at Mountain Top a very Merry Christmas and happy and prosperous New Year.

I also wanted to say what a great time I had on the moose hunt this past October. I came over with Hugh Minard and David & Diane Smith. It was one of the best vacations I have had in a very long time. Loved every minute of it.

Please pass along my best wishes to Fred, Frankie, Randy, and Jim. They were a great group of guys. They work incredibly hard and are never without a smile. Very professional and very courteous the entire week.

I hope you had a great season and hope the next one is even better.

Best Trip of My Life

Good Morning Art,

Ian Mackinnon and I were recently on a moose hunt with you in Mid-October and what an amazing time we had. I cant begin to thank you enough for the best trip of my life. Most people can’t comprehend the fact that I love sleeping in the great outdoors and pursuing god’s wonderful animals.

I took a fair amount of pictures from our trip and thought it would be nice, if we sent you a CD of all the pictures. You may find something that you want to update your website with. If you’re interested, could you please provide me your address and I will burn a CD for you. Something that you can view in your down time. (Does that even exist for you?) LOL

Apart from that, I am about to take two weeks’ vacation and going to pursue the elusive whitetail with archery equipment. Wow, I love this stuff.

Take care and hopefully all your hunts were as successful as mine. I/we will DEFINTELY be back in the near future.

Moose Hunt of a Lifetime

Art,

I wanted to thank you and your team for a moose hunt of a life time. I hunted in section 11 at Little Micah Pond with Mr. Charles Criss and Dr. Dan Eby this past October. We really enjoyed ourselves and was very pleased with our guides, Fred and Tom. Jim is a very friendly and a great cook. Frankie was very kind and helpful.

My wife and kids love the moose meat, far better than elk and whitetail.

I operate a small specialty gun store in Southern Indiana. Most of my clientele are whitetail and elk hunters. I have had several customers interested booking a hunt the fall season of 2016. I have at least 3 interested in sending a deposit. I was curious if you have any late Sept hunting space available in 2016? I am hoping to return in 2016 or 2017 at the latest.

The Whole Package

Just wanted to drop a quick line and say thanks for the great week. The “new guys” were certainly impressed with the whole show. They really enjoyed seeing the country and spending their time with someone who knew the local history. The old airplane crash site was especially interesting for them. They were more than impressed at how hard everyone worked to get them a moose and wanted to say a special thanks to Tom and Randy for going beyond what would be expected to ensure the tags got filled.

I guess after having hunted with you for the past number of years we tend to forget that not everyone going to Newfoundland has the same quality of hunt as that provided by Mountaintop Outfitters. I’ve hunted with a half a dozen guys and there is no doubt that you folks are far and away the best. Maybe you noticed that we keep coming back? It’s not just for the good company. It’s the whole package.

Like to thank Deb for the great meals she prepared for us. It’s not expected but was certainly appreciated. Hope you enjoy the tree Deb! I sent you a couple of pictures of ours and my Granddaughter helping to decorate yesterday. Loads of fun with the little ones.

Anyway, hope you have a wonderful Christmas season and enjoy your time south this spring. No doubt we’ll see you next fall if not before.

“Once in a Lifetime” Trip

Thanks so much for taking good care of my dad and brother. They has such a good time! They are already talking about coming back…funny, since this was going to be a “once in a lifetime” trip!

Fun Hunt

Hello Art,

Thank you for a great week in Newfoundland. I enjoyed the hunt that you and your guides arranged for us. I was amazed at the number of moose that I saw each day. I am very pleased with the bull moose I was able to shoot. I have been telling folks back home how much fun the hunt was.

I hope to come back soon with my son to hunt moose and caribou. I know caribou permits are hard to get. If a caribou permit becomes available would you let me know? We would need only one caribou permit and two moose permits. Thank you.

Thanks for Everything

Art,

I wanted to take time to tell you how great a time we had on our hunt. Your team of guides were great and really fun to be with. I know two guys are planning to come back up next year again, they enjoyed it that much. I will plan to come back in three years with my oldest son for his graduation from college, fall of 2017 for area 11.

Let me know if I need to do anything to hold a spot for fall 2017. I will have four hunters.

Thanks for everything and for making my hunt good. Frank was my guide and he did great. Fred and the new guide were also wonderful people and very fun.

All in all, we couldn’t ask for more. The cook did well too.

Take care and have a great hunting season. If you guys kill a monster rack, maybe send me a picture. I wonder what a monster from that area would look like.

By Far The Best

I know you see a lot of hunters come through your camp. My name is Ray Dyer from Lancaster Pennsylvania. I was with Walt and Rayco and we hunted the spike camp. I just wanted to let you know I have been on a lot of hunts throughout Maine, Canada and some of our Western States and I have to say yours was by far the best. The fact that I shot a moose was secondary.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Deon, Darrin, Wayne, Dwyane, Dean, and Debbie. They were just outstanding people who made me feel so welcome and comfortable that they felt like long time friends, in fact, everywhere I went I felt the people were just outstanding.

I would recommend your business to anyone who wants to have a great time and have a good chance of harvesting an animal. Please extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to all of your staff.

I just wanted to thank you for the incredible hunt we had last week with you. Frank and I had a great time. I few things we wanted you to know, the guides, especially Dean, Dion, and Darin were great. They worked so hard for us and we never felt pressured to shot at anything we didn’t want to.

I have hunted Newfoundland 3 prior times and I can say without hesitation they are the best I’ve ever hunted with. A true asset to your camp. Debbie’s cooking was top notch, again the best we’ve had at a hunting camp deep in the woods. The camp was clean, warm and comfortable. Also we wanted to thank you for the hospitality shown after we couldn’t get off the island because of the storm.

It would have been easy to let us fend for ourselves but you went the extra mile and made sure we had a place to sleep and kept us well fed. Thank you. I would like to book the same camp for next year for myself, Frank, and a friend of mine for the week of Oct. 7, 2011. Please let me know if you can accommodate the three of us and I will send you a deposit ASAP.
